    Training

AI governance training for the people who run it and the people who follow it

An AI policy only works if people know how to apply it. Kriv AI trains leaders, governance committees, compliance teams and staff in regulated organisations, live and on realistic cases, as part of the governance program rather than as a separate box to tick.

AI governance training teaches the people in an organisation how to apply its AI policy: leaders learn to set direction and accept risk, governance committees learn to review and approve AI systems, compliance teams learn to assess them, and staff learn what they may and may not do with AI. Kriv AI delivers it live, on realistic cases, alongside the policy and inventory work it supports.

    what it is

What AI governance training is for

A written AI policy, an inventory and an approval process are the structure of AI governance. Training is what makes people use them. Without it, managers approve tools they do not understand, reviewers apply the policy inconsistently, and staff either avoid AI or use it outside the rules.

Good AI governance training is specific to roles. A board member, a governance committee reviewer and a claims processor need different things, and a single generic session serves none of them well. Our AI governance framework page sets out the structure the training supports.

These courses are on our live catalogue and are taught to your group, in person, online or as a hybrid.

    AI compliance training for staff

AI compliance training for the wider workforce is short and practical: the approved tools, the one-page rules, the data that stays out and the outputs that need a second check, practised on the kind of work each team does. We write it to your existing policy, so it reinforces rules people already know rather than adding a separate set.

    1. 1. AI Adoption and Risk for Managers

For leaders and managers who decide where AI is allowed and how its use is reviewed.

    2. 2. Safe AI Use in Regulated Workplaces

For staff in healthcare, financial services and insurance with strict data rules: what may go into an AI tool, what may not, and why.

    3. 3. AI Verification and Quality Control

For any team whose AI output reaches customers, regulators or managers: how AI goes wrong and how to check it.

    4. 4. Leading an AI-Enabled Team

For managers running teams that use AI every day: setting expectations, reviewing work and handling mistakes.

    5. 5. Claude Foundations & Governance

For organisations rolling out Claude: the governance track of our Claude Enterprise training.

    with the program

Training as part of the governance program

We deliver the most useful training alongside the governance work itself. When the policy, risk tiers and approval process are being written, the committee and compliance sessions use them as the course material, so people learn the rules they will actually apply. Our AI governance consulting page covers that program work.

We write course content to the policy and frameworks your organisation already answers to, such as the NIST AI RMF, ISO/IEC 42001 or the EU AI Act. We do not claim formal alignment with any framework, and we do not tell you what a regulator expects; your compliance team owns that judgement. Our page for compliance teams covers how they work with AI more broadly.

    stick

What makes AI governance training stick

Three things separate training that changes behaviour from training people forget. First, it uses your own policy and your own cases, not a generic framework, so the rules people practise are the ones they will apply on Monday. Second, each group practises the decision it actually makes: committee members review a real intake form, managers decide whether a proposed use is allowed, staff decide what to leave out of a prompt.

Third, there is a way to ask questions afterwards. We recommend a named contact for AI policy questions and a short refresher whenever the policy, the approved tools or the risk tiers change, so training keeps pace with the program instead of describing last year's rules.

    credentials

AI governance professional training and credentials

Some people searching for AI governance professional training want an exam-based credential, such as the Artificial Intelligence Governance Professional (AIGP) from the IAPP. That is a personal credential earned by passing the issuer's exam, and the issuer's own site is the place to prepare for it.

Our training is different: it is about applying your organisation's own policy, not passing an external exam. We do not issue an accredited credential. Participants keep the materials, and attendance records can be prepared on request for your training files.

    how booking works

How AI governance training is arranged

    1. 1. Discovery call

We learn which groups need training, what policy and frameworks you work to, and what governance work is already in place. Training is scoped and priced after this short discovery call.

    2. 2. Plan by role

We agree which sessions each group takes and adapt the material to your policy and your real cases.

    3. 3. Delivery

Live sessions, in person, online or hybrid, with practice on realistic cases.

    4. 4. Afterwards

Participants keep the materials; attendance records can be prepared on request; we recommend refreshers when your policy changes.

    Straight answers

Frequently asked questions about AI governance training for the people who run it and the people who follow it

    What is AI governance training?

It is training that helps people apply an organisation's AI policy in their own role. Leaders learn to set direction and accept risk, governance committees learn to review and approve AI systems, compliance teams learn to assess them, and staff learn what they may do with AI and what must be checked. It works best delivered alongside the policy it teaches.

Who should take AI governance training?

Everyone who makes or follows AI decisions, at a depth that fits the role: leaders, the governance committee, compliance and risk, managers, and all staff who use AI tools. Start with the committee and the managers, because they apply the policy to others; staff training follows once the rules are settled.

What does AI compliance training cover for staff?

The approved tools, the short set of rules for using them, the data that must never go into an AI tool, how to spot errors in AI output and when to ask for help. We write it to your existing policy and practise it on the work each team does, so it is short, specific and easy to apply.

Is this the same as an AI governance certification?

No. Credentials such as the IAPP's AIGP are personal qualifications earned by exam, and the issuer's site is the place to prepare for them. Our training teaches people to apply your own policy. We do not issue an accredited credential; attendance records can be prepared on request.

    Online or in person?

Both work. Committee and compliance sessions benefit from being in a room with real cases on the table; staff sessions can run online for teams spread across sites. We agree the format with you on the discovery call.

How often should AI governance training be refreshed?

Whenever the policy, the approved tools or the risk tiers change, and at least once a year for the governance committee and compliance teams. Staff refreshers can be short: what changed, why, and one or two practice cases. Tie refreshers to policy changes rather than to a fixed calendar alone.

    Can Massachusetts employers get funding?

Massachusetts employers may be able to fund training through the Workforce Training Fund Express Program, under which all twenty of our courses are approved. Our Massachusetts training grant page explains how it works.

How much does AI governance training cost?

Training is scoped and priced after a short discovery call, once we know which groups need it, how many people are involved and how much adaptation to your policy is needed.
