The reality
Most AI initiatives fail in governance, not models.
The technology is rarely the bottleneck. The real barriers are organizational.
The AI paradox: organizations invest millions in AI tools and talent, run promising pilots, yet see little bottom-line impact. The models work. The dashboards are built. But nothing makes it to production.
The biggest blockers aren't technical — they're data readiness, fragmented tooling, lack of governance, and no clear roadmap from experimentation to value.
In healthcare and life sciences, this challenge is amplified by regulation. HIPAA, GDPR, clinical quality requirements, and audit trails aren't optional — they're table stakes. Shadow AI deployments create risk. Ungoverned models erode trust.
The solution isn't more tools. It's clarity on where you stand and a governed path forward.
Does this sound familiar?
- 01We have AI pilots but nothing in production.
- 02We're unsure if our AI workflows are HIPAA-aligned.
- 03Data is siloed across EHR, CRM, Excel, and vendors.
- 04No clear AI owner across IT, data, and compliance.
- 05Leadership is asking for ROI but we can't show it.
- 06We've invested in tools but don't have a strategy.
If two or more feel true, the AI Readiness & Governance Assessment is likely your best first step.
What it covers
A four-pillar diagnostic that leaves no stone unturned.
Pick a pillar — see what we dig into and the checks we run.
Data & infrastructure readiness
We assess your data sources, quality, accessibility, and lineage. We evaluate your cloud and data platforms — AWS, Azure, Databricks, Snowflake — and identify gaps for AI workloads.
- Data source inventory & quality assessment
- Cloud platform evaluation
- Integration & accessibility gaps
What you receive
Tangible artifacts designed for action, not just analysis.
Executive summary & maturity score
A concise document for C-suite summarizing findings, overall AI maturity level, and key recommendations.
Risk & gap map
Visual mapping of key risks and gaps across data, governance, and operations — with severity ratings.
Prioritized AI use case portfolio
Clear list of recommended use cases with effort vs. impact scoring and suggested owners.
Phased roadmap (60–180 days)
Simple phased plan: what to do first, next, and later — including pilot candidates and quick wins.
Delivered as a presentation (PDF / Slides) plus an optional 60–90 min workshop with your leadership team.
Primary: English. Discussion support available in Hindi, German, Chinese, Bengali, and Marathi if needed.
How it works
A focused, 3–4 week engagement.
Designed for minimal disruption and maximum clarity.
Discover
Week 0–1Kickoff call, stakeholder interviews (IT, data, compliance, business). We request access to relevant architecture and policy documents.
Diagnose
Week 1–2Deep-dive into data, tools, use cases, and governance artifacts. We conduct maturity scoring and risk mapping using our proprietary framework.
Design
Week 2–3Draft roadmap, use case portfolio, and recommended operating model. Internal review and refinement with your team's input.
Debrief
Week 3–4Final presentation with key stakeholders. Hand-off of all artifacts. Optional proposal for pilot implementation or ongoing governance support.
Who it's for
Built for regulated organizations ready to operationalize AI.
Designed for teams moving from AI experimentation to governed production.
Organizations
- Healthcare providers and life sciences companies ($20M–$300M revenue range)
- Pharma R&D divisions with scattered AI experiments
- Regulated mid-market organizations exploring LLMs and automation
- Organizations on AWS, Azure, or Databricks looking to operationalize AI

≤10 hrs
of your team's time across interviews and workshops
Clarity
A shared understanding of your AI maturity, risks, and opportunities across IT, data, and compliance.
Confidence
Confidence that your next AI steps won't clash with HIPAA/GDPR or internal policies.
Focus
A prioritized roadmap of 3–5 AI initiatives that can actually be delivered in the next 6–12 months.
Not a generic checklist.
This assessment is tailored to your stack — AWS, Azure, Databricks, Snowflake, Zapier, Power Automate — and your regulatory environment. We don't apply cookie-cutter frameworks. We meet you where you are.
How we scope it
A structured, fixed-scope engagement.
We run the AI Readiness & Governance Assessment as a fixed-scope engagement, so you know exactly what you get and when you get it. No surprises, no scope creep.
Most clients complete the assessment with their teams investing a manageable number of hours in workshops and interviews — typically 6–10 hours total across stakeholders.
Learn how we price engagementsStraight answers
Common questions about the AI Readiness Assessment.
How much time will this take from our team?
We designed the assessment to minimize disruption. Expect 6–10 hours total across all stakeholders—spread across interviews, a kickoff call, and a final debrief. Most of the work happens on our side.
Do you need access to PHI/PII?
In most cases, no. We work primarily with metadata, architecture diagrams, policy documents, and interviews. Where data samples are helpful, we work with anonymized or synthetic data. If PHI/PII access is required for a specific reason, we'll establish appropriate safeguards under a BAA.
Can you work with on-prem and private cloud environments?
Absolutely. We're multi-cloud and hybrid-friendly. Whether you're on AWS, Azure, GCP, Databricks, Snowflake, or a private data center, we adapt our approach to your environment.
Do you only work with healthcare and life sciences?
Healthcare and life sciences are our primary focus, but we also work with other regulated mid-market organizations—financial services, insurance, and companies with similar governance needs.
What happens after the assessment?
You receive all artifacts and a clear roadmap. From there, you can implement independently using our recommendations, engage us for a pilot project, or set up ongoing governance support through our Governance-as-a-Service offering. There's no pressure to continue—but most clients find the assessment naturally leads to a focused next step.
