Agentic AI and AI automation training

Agentic AI course or agentic AI training: what your team needs to learn

What builders, operators and governance owners each need to learn about AI agents, how to judge a course or program, and what Kriv AI actually teaches today.

An agentic AI course teaches people to design, run and oversee AI agents: software that uses a language model to choose its next step and act through tools. Good agentic AI training is split by role: tools and orchestration for builders, approvals and exceptions for operators, and evaluation and records for governance owners.

what an agentic ai course covers

What an agentic AI course should teach, and who needs one

An AI agent is a program that reads context, uses a language model to decide what to do next, and then acts through tools it has been given, such as a database query, an email draft or an update to a record. A fixed automation follows one path; an agent chooses its path, and people must be trained to design, supervise and check that choice.

Who needs this: the people who build agents, work alongside them or sign them off. Who does not: individuals collecting a personal certificate, and teams with no agent use case or approved AI tool yet.

ConceptWhat a team should be able to explain after training
The agent loopHow an agent gathers context, proposes a step, acts, reads the result and decides whether to continue.
Tools and permissionsWhich systems the agent may read, which it may change, and why each tool is granted narrowly.
OrchestrationHow several steps, or several agents, are chained and how a failure in one step is caught before the next acts on it.
Human-in-the-loopWhich actions need a person's approval before they happen, who that person is, and what they see when they approve.
EvaluationHow to test an agent on real examples before release and how to review what it did afterwards.

    agentic ai training by role

Agentic AI training by role: builders, operators and governance owners

Split the training by what each group does with the agent.

    Builders: engineers and automation developers

Builders need the mechanics: instructions, tools with narrow permissions, connections to existing systems, error handling and tests on real cases. Our agentic AI automation page describes the governed pattern we build to: trigger, context gathering, a language-model reasoning step, action, then logging and approval.

Operators: the people who work alongside the agent

Operators need judgment more than code: what the agent is allowed to do, how to read what it proposes, when to approve, correct or reject, and how to report an output that looks wrong.

Governance owners: risk, compliance, IT and the business owner

Governance owners need to know what to ask for before an agent goes live: a written scope of what it may read, change and must escalate; a named owner; an action log; approval steps for sensitive actions. They need enough of the concepts above to tell a defensible design from a demo.

    how to evaluate

How to evaluate an agentic AI course or program

These questions separate a program that changes how your team works from one that produces certificates.

The best agentic AI course depends on who is taking it

For a single engineer learning the patterns, an online course is a reasonable start. DeepLearning.AI's Agentic AI course, taught by Andrew Ng, describes four design patterns (reflection, tool use, planning and multi-agent workflows), uses Python, covers evaluation and error analysis, and offers a certificate with its PRO membership. For a team that has to run agents on its own systems under its own rules, the best agentic AI course is the one built around those systems and rules, which an open course cannot do.

QuestionWhat a good answer looks like
Is it built for an individual or for a team?Individual courses teach patterns on sample problems. Team training should use your systems, your data rules and your approval steps.
Does it cover evaluation, or only building?Look for testing on real cases, error analysis and a review of the agent's actions after release, not only a working demo.
What does the certificate mean?Find out who issues it, whether it records completion or a passed exam, and whether anyone you answer to recognises it.

    ai automation courses and certification

AI automation courses and certification, explained honestly

AI automation and agentic AI overlap. An AI automation course teaches workflows that add a language-model step to a fixed sequence; an agentic AI course goes further, into agents that choose their own steps. Certification is the part of a course page most worth reading closely.

How to learn AI automation as a team

Start with one real workflow, not a tool tour. Map the steps, mark the ones where the input varies (free-text emails, scanned documents, inconsistent records), and decide which of those need a person. Then learn the automation platform your company already licenses, add the language-model step only where a fixed rule cannot cope, and write down who approves what.

Microsoft's Agentic AI Business Solutions Architect Expert certification

Microsoft lists this credential as its Agentic AI Business Solutions Architect Expert certification, for the solution architect job role. Per its Microsoft Learn certification page, read on 2026-10-20, candidates must pass exam AB-100 and also hold at least one of the listed prerequisite Associate-level certifications. The exam assesses planning, designing and deploying AI-powered business solutions. On the day we read it, the page listed no current instructor-led courses for this certification.

What Kriv AI does and does not certify

Kriv AI does not issue a certification for agentic AI or AI automation training, and we make no accreditation claim for it. Our Claude training page says plainly that Kriv AI does not issue a Claude certification. We train teams in their own environment; where a person needs a vendor credential, the vendor's own program is the place to earn it.

Kriv AI has 20 courses listed in the Massachusetts Workforce Training Fund Express Course Directory. None of them is an agentic AI or AI automation course, and a directory listing is a funding-eligibility determination, not an accreditation. The closest is Prompt Writing and Instruction Design, filed for staff who use an AI assistant and for anyone expected to set up repeatable AI-supported processes for a team.

    what kriv training covers

What Kriv AI's agentic AI training actually covers

Kriv AI does not run a stand-alone agentic AI course. Agentic AI training is delivered as a scoped engagement, built from the material below, which is what our live training and automation pages describe today.

Training is hands-on in your own repositories and documents, scoped by role, with a senior practitioner who both scopes and delivers. Our Claude Code training delivery record: for a multi-billion-dollar distribution enterprise with 2,000+ associates across 122 locations, we delivered 12 live training sessions, 26 training documents and 5 role-specific starter kits.

The builds behind the fourth item are described on our agentic AI automation page and our AI automation page. If your teams use general assistants rather than agents, our AI training for employees compares the tool and role tracks.

Kriv AI holds Claude Partner Network, Select partner · Services Track status. Program details at claude.com/partners; written confirmation from the Claude Partner Network team available on request. More on our Anthropic partner credentials. We are also a Zapier Silver Solution Partner.

The honest gap: we do not have a named case study for agentic AI training outside Claude Code, so we will not quote results we cannot show.

    1. 1. Claude Code training: Advanced agentic patterns

The Claude Code training Developer track includes a module named Advanced agentic patterns. Its listed outcomes are agentic workflows in your actual codebase; MCP integrations, custom skills and hooks; and CI integration, test generation and review discipline.

    2. 2. Governance and compliance module

Shared by every track of our Claude training, and included in every Claude training engagement: what can and cannot be sent to AI models, audit-trail habits and policy design.

    3. 3. Claude Agent SDK, where a team is building something durable

Our Claude training covers the whole Claude surface, including the Agent SDK where a team is building something durable. Which tracks you take is a scoping decision, not a fixed package.

    4. 4. Team training inside an agent or automation build

When we build a governed agent, we also teach your team to run it. Runbooks and team training can be prepared on request, and automation engagements include documentation and training for the people who run the workflow.

    regulated teams

Agentic AI training for regulated teams

Kriv AI focuses on healthcare, life sciences, financial services and insurance, where an agent can touch patient, client or claims data.

Training here covers what the agent may see, which actions need approval and how its record is kept. We write the rules taught in training to the policy and frameworks you already answer to, such as HIPAA, the NAIC Model Bulletin or the NIST AI RMF. We help write those rules and train people to them; we do not certify compliance.

A point for banking teams: SR 26-2, the model risk guidance, states that generative AI and agentic AI models are not within its scope. Your own risk management should still govern them.

    how an engagement runs

How an agentic AI training engagement runs

Each engagement is scoped and priced after a short discovery call.

    1. 1. Discovery call

Which agents you run or plan, on which platform, who builds and who approves, and what data is involved. We say whether training, a build, or neither fits.

    2. 2. Scope by role

Agree which groups attend (builders, operators, governance owners) and which of the modules above apply.

    3. 3. Hands-on sessions

Builders work in your own repositories; operators and owners work through your own approval steps and records.

    4. 4. Handover

Your team keeps the training documents and materials; a runbook for new starters can be prepared on request.

    Straight answers

Frequently asked questions about Agentic AI course or agentic AI training: what your team needs to learn

What is the difference between an agentic AI course and agentic AI training for a team?

An agentic AI course for individuals is built for one learner: it teaches the patterns on sample problems and may end in a certificate. Agentic AI training for a team works on your own systems, splits by role, and covers the approvals, records and tests your organization needs before an agent goes live.

What should agentic AI training cover?

Five things: the agent loop (context, decision, action, check), tools and the permissions behind them, orchestration of several steps or agents, human-in-the-loop approval for sensitive actions, and evaluation before and after release. Builders need the mechanics, operators need to know when to approve or reject, and governance owners need to know what evidence to ask for.

Does 'AI agent training' mean training people or training the agent?

Both meanings are in use. Training people means teaching staff to build, run and oversee agents, which is what this page covers. Training the agent means improving the model or its instructions, through better prompts, examples, tools or fine-tuning, and testing the result. Teams doing the second still need the first, because someone has to judge whether the agent's changed behaviour is acceptable.

Are university and online agentic AI courses worth it for a company?

They can be for individuals who need the concepts. Before paying for one on a company's behalf, check whether it covers evaluation as well as building, who issues the certificate and what it records, and whether anything in it uses your systems or rules.

Is there an AI automation certification worth getting?

Vendor certifications prove knowledge of that vendor's products. Microsoft, for example, lists an Agentic AI Business Solutions Architect Expert certification, which requires exam AB-100 and a prerequisite Associate certification. Check who issues any certificate and whether it records completion or a passed exam. Kriv AI does not issue a certification for agentic AI or AI automation training.

Does Kriv AI offer an agentic AI course?

Not as a stand-alone course. Agentic AI training is delivered as a scoped engagement: the Advanced agentic patterns module of our Claude Code training, Agent SDK work within our Claude training, and team training attached to agent and automation builds. It is scoped and priced after a short discovery call with the senior practitioner who delivers it.

How should a team start AI automation training?

Pick one real workflow your team already runs, ideally on a platform you already license. Map its steps, mark where inputs vary and where a person must approve, and train the builders and operators of that workflow together. Write down the approval rules before the sessions, so the training teaches your rules rather than habits that have to be undone later.
