The challenge
India Heritage Foundation NJ NY Inc is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Edison, New Jersey. The foundation reports more than 500,000 people engaged in its cultural and spiritual programs, over 100,000 meals served to those in need, and more than 500 events and workshops organized across the life of the organization.
That work runs through seven programs: Peace Meals Unlimited, Colors of India, Synchrony Music Band, Indian Culture & Value for Kids, Happiness Sublime, Folk, and Origins, the foundation's spiritual and cultural sanctuary on campus.
Every piece of communication those programs generate, event announcements, donor letters, newsletters, social media, volunteer coordination and grant applications, is handled by an operations and communications team of five. Seven programs competed for the same small pool of writing capacity, and recurring content was rebuilt from scratch each cycle rather than started from anything reusable.
What Kriv AI did
Training built on the foundation's own content calendar
Rather than deliver a generic Claude course, Kriv AI built both sessions around the work already sitting in the foundation's calendar, so every exercise produced something the team actually needed that month.
- Session 1 covered Claude fundamentals and prompt engineering for nonprofit content: event announcements, donor letters, newsletter drafts and social media posts.
- Session 2 covered the harder workflows: grant writing assistance, volunteer coordination templates, program documentation, and generating one program brief into several formats and registers at once.
Supervised production use, then a library they keep
The second half of the engagement moved the team onto real work under supervision, then converted what they had learned into assets that outlast the training.

- A template library for the content that recurs every cycle, which is what removes the from scratch problem permanently.
- Best practices documentation the team owns, so a new staff member or volunteer can pick up the workflow without another training engagement.
- Quarterly check ins continue, covering new Claude features and workflow refinements.
What Claude does, and what it does not do
Claude drafts and reformats content from the team's program briefs across multiple formats and registers. Every output is reviewed and approved by a person before it reaches a donor, a volunteer or the community. The deployment is Claude for Teams (Nonprofit) with five seats and no integrations and no API use, which keeps the whole workflow inside a surface the team can see and control.
Results
- The full five person operations and communications team is live on Claude for Teams (Nonprofit) and uses it daily for organizational work.
- Content for all seven community programs now runs through one shared workflow instead of competing for one person's writing time.
- A template library and best practices documentation stay with the foundation, so recurring content starts from something rather than from nothing.
- Human review remains in front of every donor, volunteer and community facing communication.
